The Distinguished Thomasian Alumni Awards … The occasion that showcases Our Solidarity and Our Strength! We know that there is strength in numbers. And for those of us joining organizations, we do so because we believe that in any endeavor, alone we can only do so much, but when we join others, the possibilities of what can be done become greater. This is true whether we are rendering service to others or simply wanting to give back to our Alma Mater. This is the spirit that has brought the Distinguished Thomasian Alumni Night to life. This now yearly testimonial dinner hosted by the UST Alumni Association, in partnership with the UST Office of Alumni Relations, is in honor of our distinguished Thomasian Alumni, and creates an opportunity for solidarity among them. This practice was introduced by Dr. Robert C. Sy in 2007 in preparation for our University’s 400th foundation year celebration in 2011. Since then, it has become an excellent occasion that provides an opportunity for every guest to interact with other distinguished Thomasian Alumni. Through this event, we gather as one family and honor those among us who have gained respect and admiration in their life and work after passing through the Arch of the Centuries and out into the world! The Distinguished Thomasian Alumni Awards will hopefully continue to inspire our Alumni as they all stand together under one Thomasian spirit of solidarity.
