Evelyn A. Songco


President, UST College of Education Alumni Foundation, Inc.

Prof. Songco obtained a Ph. D. in Development Education from the University of Santo Tomas (UST). She is a Lecturer at the UST Graduate School under two programs: Educational Leadership and Management; and, Curriculum and Instruction. She is an Associate Researcher at the UST Research Center for Social Sciences and Education (RCSSED).

She is one of the two advisers of the Philippine Association of Practitioners of Student Affairs and Services where she serves as the Executive Editor of the Asia Pacific Journal for Student Affairs, the official journal of the Association.

She has co-authored books and has published articles in the Philippine Historical Bulletin, the official journal of the Philippine Historical Association.

Dr. Songco is a Senior Accreditor under the Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation.

She has organized many local, national, and international conferences and has been often invited as resource person on the topics of student affairs & services, school leadership and management, student development, and teaching strategies in social sciences.

The foundation envisions itself to be a strong and synergistic linkage through which the alumni of the College of Education find opportunities to connect meaningfully to their alma mater.

The College of Education Alumni Foundation, faithful to the pillars of the Dominican life, namely: prayer, study, fellowship and apostolate, dedicates itself to the service of the Education alumni community towards building the church, the nation and family.
