President, UST College of Rehabilitation Science Alumni Association


Currently the Director of the Center for Continuing Professional Education and Development (CCPED), Graduate School, University of Santo Tomas. A Physical Therapist and an Educator, she is an Associate Professor at the UST College of Rehabilitation Sciences, where she served as Dean from 2006 – 2012 and also as Faculty Secretary from 1983 – 2002.  She served as President of the Philippine Physical Therapy Association (PPTA); Treasurer of the  Association of Philippine Physical Therapy & Occupational Therapy Schools (APPTOTS), Secretary of the Philippine Association of Rehabilitation Sciences Schools (PARSS), and Treasurer of the Asia Western Pacific Region of the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT – AWP). She was also recipient of various awards & recognitions most notably: Outstanding Professional of the Year in Physical Therapy given by the Professional Regulation Commission and also by the Philippine Federation of Professional Associations; Gawad Inoturan – Natatanging Pisikal Terapist given by the Philippine Physical Therapy Association; St. Antoninus of Florence Outstanding Alumnus of the UST Graduate School and Special Medal of Recognition from the UST Alumni Association given during the 2008 The Outstanding Alumni Award (TOTAL) Awards.

The UST CRSAA is a proactive and dynamic association that continually nurtures the expertise and professional growth of its members through responsive and contextualized programs to contribute in the attainment of a society that values community building, cultivation of potential, and inclusivity.

Mission

The UST CRSAA empowers its members to fully realize their potential, enriches their knowledge and skills through mentorship and continuing professional development programs, enhances their social and moral responsibility, and engages them in the various activities of the association to maximize their niche in society.
